Water InSecurity Experiences
The Water InSecurity Experiences Community of Practice (WISE-CP) supports research and practice related to the measurement, causes, and consequences of water insecurity.
Our Mission
The WISE-CP is a community of scholars and practitioners who research and work in the interdisciplinary field of water insecurity. Our community formed in 2016 and was funded from 2018-2024 by the US National Science Foundation as the Household Water Insecurity Experiences Research Coordination Network (HWISE-RCN). Our work fosters key analytics and theoretical advances coupled with the development of research protocols and standardized assessments to document, benchmark, and understand the causes and consequences of water insecurity.
